Not every drainage area needs the standard pipe density. On Eduardo's property in Dom Aquino (MT), the project called for something else: recovering an area with old ditches and waterlogged spots, with soil moisture control as the central goal — not just productivity.
The area had old, poorly sized drainage ditches causing erosion and localized waterlogging — soil with excessive, irregular moisture that made management harder: machine traffic, the planting window, and uniform crop emergence.
Techduto sized the project based on the area's real need — half the density of a conventional project, concentrated at the correction points. The focus wasn't just draining the excess water, but restoring predictability to management: more uniform moisture and a more consistent machine operation window.
