Five fronts of HDPE subsurface engineering — national reference, 40 years in the market, and 4 units in the country.

FAQ

Answers to common questions about Techduto solutions, standards, and support.

Techduto addresses five fronts of underground engineering with HDPE (high-density polyethylene) solutions: agricultural and urban subsurface drainage, mechanical protection of electrical and telecom cables (NBR 15715), soil stabilization with Bidim geotextile and geocomposite, complete infrastructure for photovoltaic plants (DC/MV cables, platform drainage, foundations), and the Techdreno 360 System — a turnkey solution for agricultural drainage.

HDPE offers a service life of over 50 years when buried, immune to corrosion, roots, and acidic soils — versus 20–30 years for PVC and the need for maintenance in concrete. HDPE is 95% lighter than concrete and 60% lighter than PVC, reducing logistical costs and installation time. In terms of chemical resistance, HDPE resists acids, alkalis, oils, and agricultural products without degradation.

Techduto solutions comply with ABNT NBR 15715 (corrugated HDPE conduits for buried electrical cables — a standard in which Techduto participated in the technical elaboration), ABNT NBR 15073 (HDPE drainage pipes), DNIT 093/2016 (road drainage), in addition to factory ISO certifications. Each product comes with a traceable certificate of conformity.

Yes. Techduto operates 4 units in the country — three factories (São Paulo, Pernambuco, and Mato Grosso) and a Distribution Center in Petrolina-PE — serving each project from the unit closest to the site. More than 260 photovoltaic plants, highway, railway, agricultural, and sanitation projects in all regions of the country. A technical team of engineers monitors dimensioning and installation in large-scale projects.

The choice depends on the specific problem: for excess water in the soil (crop, construction, solar platform), subsurface drainage with Techdreno; for buried cables in any sector, NBR 15715 conduit with UV or AC additive as per exposure; for unstable soil or erosion, Bidim geotextile or geocomposite; for integrated agricultural drainage, Techdreno 360 System. Correctly installed virgin HDPE products have a service life of over 50 years when buried — exceeding the typical operating time of a photovoltaic plant (25 years), a highway (30 years), or an agricultural drainage system (40 years). HDPE is immune to corrosion, roots, and chemical attack from the soil, eliminating the need for preventive maintenance throughout the project's lifespan.
