For those who specify or hire technical piping, quality is not a sales argument — it’s a project requirement. This page documents the standards we comply with by product line, the tests we perform on each batch, and what you can request to prove it.

Compliance by product line

Techduto quality control laboratory — corrugated PEAD pipe test

Techduto manufactures two technical lines with specific standards — drainage and cable protection — in addition to special lines for high-demand applications. Each line has its own normative references.

NBR 15715 — the standard we helped create

The ABNT NBR 15715 defines the quality requirements for flexible corrugated PEAD pipes for cable protection in underground and aerial installations — DN 20 to DN 250 mm.

Techduto actively participated in the development of this standard. With decades of corrugated pipe production even before the Brazilian standard existed, our processes and products were a reference for defining the parameters that the standard consecrated. When you specify NBR 15715, you are describing exactly the product we manufacture.

For engineers and designers: by requiring NBR 15715 in the descriptive memorial or contract documents, you protect yourself against non-compliant pipes — and have the right to request the technical report of the delivered batch at any time.

NBR 15073 and DNIT 093/2016 — drainage with specified stiffness class

The ABNT NBR 15073 establishes the requirements for PEAD corrugated pipes for drainage and sewage in non-pressurized conditions — the technical reference standard for Techdreno and its variants.

The DNIT 093/2016 complements with specific requirements for drainage in road infrastructure works — requiring proof of load supported by stiffness class.

Circumferential stiffness classes (SN)

The stiffness class defines the pipe’s resistance to external load and determines the installation depth and type of traffic supported. Specifying the correct class is the designer’s responsibility:

Techdreno is available in both classes (SN4 and SN8) in diameters from DN 50 to DN 250 mm, in coils or bars of 6 and 12 meters.

What you receive with each order

  • Technical report available per batch — unique identification with production date, machine, shift, operator, and results of mandatory tests. Requestable at any time for work documentation or audit
  • Consistency between units — own laboratory in the four manufacturing units (SJC, Recife, Petrolina, Primavera do Leste): the product manufactured in the Northeast meets exactly the same standard as the one in São Paulo
  • Controlled raw material at source — the melt flow index (MFI) of each PEAD resin load is verified before extrusion by ISO 1133. Quality starts before the product exists
  • Full traceability — each coil has a unique code that enables root cause analysis in the field, post-installation technical support, and retrospective audit
  • Proven service life: 75 years (cable protection) and 50 years (drainage) — result of accelerated aging studies and real installation history with decades in the field
